Dr Evangelos Fountzopoulos graduated from the Georg August Medical School in Germany in 1996. He successfully completed his MD thesis on Cardiological Syndrome X and undertook all his post graduate medical and higher specialist training in the UK. Towards the end of his interventional training he undertook an interventional fellowship at Flinders Medical Centre in Australia.
During his interventional cardiology training Dr Fountzopoulos has become an expert in performing coronary angiography and percutaneous coronary intervention through the radial artery access route (through the wrist) which reduces the risk of complications and increases patients’ comfort.
